You’re the life of the party (when you’re in the mood) making others laugh with your witty comments, but you go home feeling worthless, perhaps it’s because you are ruminating over that one thing you said that didn’t land as you expected and it’s hard to shake the feeling that the others in the room won’t forget it either.
If you are finding this sense of disconnection in your relationships, feeling misunderstood by those closest to you, or you are simply wanting to understand your own emotions and reactions better, it might be time to explore this in therapy. We will uncover the deeper connections to help resolve these patterns.
I work from a neurobiologically informed framework (IPNB) that is rooted in the latest research on development, neuroscience, trauma and attachment.
Often described as a depth-oriented, “bottum-up” approach to trauma therapy, I utilize EMDR therapy integrated with other depth-oriented approaches to fully access what is happening for you.
After years of training, research and clinical experience I know that relationships matter. This includes our relationship with ourselves, those closest to us now, to our primary caregivers in childhood. It also matters in the therapeutic relationships that we choose. This mean I take the therapeutic relationship seriously and want to ensure a good fit.
