I’m Cathy Kleinschmit, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 10 years of experience helping adolescents and adults navigate challenges like trauma, ADHD, life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. Before becoming a counselor, I spent 15 years working in the public school system as a paraprofessional, supporting both elementary and high school students.
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and use a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness techniques.
I believe that creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard is the key to success in therapy.
