I have been a fully licensed clinical psychologist for almost 25 years. My clinical focus is on helping adults (ages 22+) identify and build upon their own unique strengths, while also learning to manage personal weaknesses (which we all have), in order to develop more personally satisfying ways of living. I have a particular background in assisting clients during life changes and transitions, helping people move from one life stage or situation to another. My goal is to provide a respectful, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment, and my style is supportive, yet honest and straightforward.
Whomever you choose as your provider, it is important that the fit between you and your therapist be the right one for you both. To this end, I will schedule a brief phone conversation with you prior to making an appointment, so that you may ask questions, and we can both determine whether your needs fit with my clinical expertise.
I have worked in both medical and private practice settings in MI, and IL. I have a B.S. from the Univ. of Illinois and a Doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. As my relationship with my clients is therapeutic, not evaluative, I am not able to complete paperwork (such as for disability, or a support animal, etc.) for my clients.
