Hi, my name is Catherine Hetzel! I believe that clients are able to grow and heal when they are in a safe environment involving a trusting relationship with their therapist. My expertise is social skill-building, conflict resolution, and coping skill enhancement. Above all, I believe that therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist, one in which client input is essential. Therapy can be a very vulnerable space, and while it may be challenging, I do my absolute best to create an environment where you are not tackling your struggles alone. I have training in trauma counseling with children, adolescents, and adults, and I’m skilled at assisting clients with establishing healthy coping skills, confidence, and self-care. I work with a wide variety of ages. My areas of specialty surround anxiety, depression, transitions, and life changes.
I have a Master’s in Science from Mount Mary University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Wisconsin. Therapy is a very individual process, so we work at YOUR pace. My goal is create a safe space, provide support, and be a cheerleader along the way!
