I primarily provide counseling for couples, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, codependency and PTSD. Recently I’ve specialized in helping adults navigate the emotional and logistical process of caring for an elderly parent. I also have extensive experience counseling people who are going through life transitions, and relationship issues. After 25 years in practice I provide a supportive environment where I assist clients in gaining insight into their problems. Once I’ve aquired a better understanding of the clients situation I offer options and coping skills to help them solve their problems.
I have found it to be most therapeutic to use the techniques from both traditional counseling and alternative therapy to meet the clients style and comfort level. I received my masters degree from New York University in 1998 and then provided counseling in hospitals and agencies.
In addition to traditional talk therapy I have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and analysis. You can call me to make an appointment.

This group will meet twice for 90 minutes. It will consist of 6-8 people. The first group will focus on the emotional journey involved in taking care of an elderly parent. The second group will focus on navigating the logistical challenges of caring for an elderly parent.
