As we wonder how to navigate life, we may face several obstacles and challenges that can seem overwhelming or unbearable. As Mental Health Professionals we are here to support people on how to successfully keep themselves afloat. We are a group of licensed and pre-licensed therapists who are dedicated to make sure that we support our community with the necessary emotional tools in order to increase and maintain a functional life.
Several of our professionals are trained in various EBPs such as IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Gottman Method for Couples, Infant Massage Therapy, Art and Play therapy for children, and our main approach is EMDR, which is offered in person and/or via telehealth.
Many people like to refer to us mental health workers as "healers", but I prefer to see therapists as Mitigators; at Catarsys Family Counseling we will work together to help others find ways of living a satisfactory life. You have the power to heal yourself!
