Hi, and welcome. Making the decision to look for a therapist can feel hopeful and vulnerable. Whether you're my new client or someone else's, I encourage you to follow the part of you that says now's the time. There are many reasons people decide to try therapy. Perhaps you're aware of a pattern of stops and starts; a feeling of being stuck. Maybe you have patterns of reactivity that get easily triggered. You may be experiencing deep grief, or trauma. There may be big changes and decisions to make. You could be overwhelmed, anxious, and/or depressed. Often there's an overarching feeling that your life is not working.
I've been practicing for over 30 years. I recently opened an office here, after being in the Bay Area for many years. In my practice I work with adolescents, individuals, couples and families. I also offer EMDR for trauma. I work collaboratively with my clients. We co-create a plan to move forward. I offer a free consultation to see if we're a good fit.
I offer a warm, non-judgmental space. Clients sometimes say, "I feel lost, like I don't know who I am anymore." Having someone to hold the light, suggest new perspectives, demonstrate real, usable tools for change, can help you find your way home to your best version of your Self. I see us as a team.
