I am Cassondra Macaione, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma. I work with adolescents and adults ranging from 16 to 65, including families and couples, who are coping with major life transitions, relationship challenges, depression, and anxiety. I have worked with clients coping with complex trauma and ensure that my clients are equipped with exceptional tools to live a full and happy life.
I firmly believe that therapy is a great opportunity to implement and highlight incremental changes in a client’s progress, and I focus on the importance of looking at a client’s strengths rather than focusing on deficits and current stressors that clients may be experiencing in their relationships, work/school, and home lives.
I take a client-centered approach to therapy and concentrate on formulating specific goals and objectives, providing therapeutic counseling in accordance with such plans. Additionally, I utilize a variety of psychological methods and techniques in the screening, assessment, and evaluation phases of treatment.
