I earned my bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Metropolitan State College of Denver, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work Degree in 2010 from Newman University. I spent the next 8 1/2 years working for Child Protective Services, specializing in child sexual abuse, working with both victims and offenders. For the past 12 years, I have worked at a crisis line, speaking with clients over the phone. These calls could be anything from someone being lonely and needing to talk to someone to someone being actively suicidal.
I believe in an approach that the counseling process is a collaboration alliance, with clients considered experts in their own lives. Clients can discover their inner strengths to promote positive change. I work with adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, Suicidal ideation, self-harming, stress, and trauma.
I believe mental health is a journey of self-discovery and growth. I am here to help you with this journey. I help clients view issues from a different lens.
