About
Growing up in South Texas, I have strong roots in Mexican and Tejano culture. Then, I moved to Austin to attend St. Edwards University and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelors of Art in Psychology. After graduation, I became a teacher and specialized in special education. After working in education for 10 years, I returned to school and received my Masters of Art in School Counseling. My experience includes working as a school counselor providing social emotional learning to students. As a counselor, my approach is to support adults and youth in building positive coping skills through CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.
I offer in-person or online therapy for adults and youth. My focus is helping individuals build their brain and body connection through a strong therapeutic relationship. I utilize CBT, Solution Focused therapy, art therapy and mindfulness practices.
