Hello, my name is Casimira Joaquin, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I've been practicing psychotherapy since 2017. I recognize each individual I encounter is unique, and therefore I utilize an integrative approach to therapy to better meet the needs of those I serve. I have knowledge and experience in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. I enjoy working with tweens and have several years serving this population. Additionally, I like to work with individuals entering early adulthood, parents, and middle-aged adults.
My therapeutic orientation includes a mixture of psychodynamic, attachment-based, CBT, DBT, narrative, person-centered, solution focus, existentialism, and EMDR.
I would describe my communication style as transparent, authentic, and nurturing. For my sessions, I hope to create a safe, warm, and inviting environment that allows others to relax and actively create to make their own space.
