All humans have inherent worth, yet I believe a lack of self-worth is at the core of all emotional pain. I use a narrative approach to allow clients to share their story as they see it and then help them reframe to build a life that better meets their desired goals. Self-defeating behaviors created to cope with difficult situations, such as trauma, gender identity and a lack of validation, can be changed when identified and understood. I join my client on their journey to become the person they desire. I am a member of World Professional Association of Health and of International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.
I write letters of support for transgender people. I work with teenagers and adults who struggle to live their desired life. I'm passionate about the impact of addiction, trauma and gender identity. I enjoy watching change occur when people become strong enough to allow others to see them for who they truly are, when people are able to live their truth.
I affirm ALL humans in their gender identity, race, religion and political views. I continue to build knowledge to provide the most affirming care so I can work with a variety of life's problems and a variety of clients, with the understanding that validating one's worth and building a solid therapeutic relationship is at the core of our work together.
