What if you aren't something that needs to be figured out but a person worthy of time and understanding? At its most basic, my goal as a counselor is to show up in our sessions and demonstrate to you, over and over again, that it is safe to share with me because I am able to remain curious, compassionate, and non judgmental no matter what arises. I believe that even our most troubling thoughts and behaviors can be understood as ways we have adapted to get our needs met. Through this respectful lens, we can explore what new paths might be possible.
I work to hold a space where you can practice making more contact with your feelings, notice the meaning your mind is making, and reconnect with your embodied experience. This empowers people to get more clear about our values, notice and explore more options, and integrate our experiences so we can connect with ourselves and others with more intention.
