I believe in harnessing the power of our inherent strengths to heal past trauma. My primary therapeutic approach is EMDR. Traumatic experiences are a shock to our systems can can cause intense emotions, stress, negative thoughts, etc. EMDR helps our brains and bodies to process stuck material to move towards adaptation.
I believe that mind-body integration is vital to overall wellness. Emotions and experiences can get stuck in our bodies - a lump in the throat, burning red face, sick gut, etc. - that get triggered.
