I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I work with families, couples and individuals, both adults and children, using a systemic focus. I work from a strength based model with cognitive behavioral interventions for issues of depression, anxiety and behavioral difficulties. I am also an EMDR trained therapist in working with issues of trauma. I use a variety of influences in working with couples including Emotionally Focused Therapy and am a pro-marriage therapist. I believe in order to realize positive growth and change, a person must find balance in themselves and their relationships.
I consider couples counseling to be one of my specialties. I help couples recognize the destructive patterns in their relationship and establish new "dances" that nourish their relationship. I am also a trained EMDR therapist and work with a variety of issues effectively treated with EMDR, including trauma and depression.
My clients will tell you that balance is my mantra. I believe our ability to find balance in our own lives and our relationships is paramount to healing, growth and change. I have lived in Loveland for over 30 years, have been married 32 years and have two children.
