Trauma leaves us feeling drained and exhausted, especially those of us with chronic illness, neurodivergence, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Life is hard enough without the extra challenges of self-doubt and limitations from triggers, flashbacks, and reminders. Trauma can affect every aspect of life, from relationships to employment, and from intimacy to mood. You might also be feeling tired of your life being affected by negative emotions, or being unable to accomplish the goals you have set. You’re ready to grow, heal and change, but need some support to do so. That’s where therapy comes in.
As a disabled, neurodivergent member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have both clinical and personal perspectives of these populations. Therapy should feel safe and validating, and that’s the type of space I seek to create. I utilize EMDR, IFS, and Somatic Therapy to help my clients achieve their goals, and specialize in letters for gender-affirming care.
