Most of my clients are carrying something that doesn't have a clean name. A loss that won't resolve. A body in chronic pain. A life that looks fine from the outside but somehow feels hollow underneath. An experience — psychedelic or otherwise — that cracked something open. A faith they outgrew and a self still locating itself on the other side.
They think deeply about their own lives and have often thought their way into a corner. Together, we come back into contact with what's actually happening — in the body, in relationships, in the present-moment experiences.
A tree doesn't hold onto its leaves to stay whole — it sheds, roots deeper, reaches further. People process in the same way. I draw on ACT, somatic work, parts work, mindfulness, and existential inquiry. I take neuroscience seriously. I take poetry, art, and nature seriously too. Because a life is not a diagnosis, and therapy shouldn't feel like one.
What emerges in this work — and what I try to live myself — is openness, awareness, and engagement. Not destinations. A way of being with your life as it actually is. Less striving, more contact. Less managing, more presence. There's no particular shape this has to take. If something here is pulling at you, that's probably enough to start.
