Hello, my name is Carter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and compassion. I work from a person-centered and humanistic perspective, which means I see you as the expert in your own life and aim to create a space where you feel heard, seen, and valued. In my practice, I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationships issues, life transitions, and other stressors that can make day-to-day life feel overwhelming.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start understanding what brought you to therapy. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what led you to seek therapy, and what goals you may have for yourself. I may ask some questions to better understand your experiences.
