I will be your partner on your journey towards recovery, and will provide a safe, warm and nurturing environment where you can express yourself, get support and learn new skills. I use a strength based approach and will help you develop the tools you need in order to live a more fulfilling life. My goal is to ensure that you find relief from the immediate distress you may be experiencing, while also helping you build and strengthen coping skills that will improve your ability to manage life stressors long after therapy has ended.
I approach therapy with an awareness that distress often reflects more than individual experiences. Racism, discrimination, violence, displacement, economic hardship, and other forms of oppression can profoundly affect mental health, relationships, and a person's sense of safety and belonging.
I have 20+ years of clinical experience with a wide variety of issues/concerns. I offer Saturday and webcam appointments to help ensure that a busy work week won't interfere with your ability to participate in the services you are searching for.
