At the core, I approach our work in therapy as a partner and collaborator. I don't profess to know any member better than they know themselves.OCD often puts very challenging material in people’s minds, leading to thoughts that can be embarrassing and shameful. However, I am neither shocked nor judgmental about what comes up for people. I like to remind members that OCD attacks what is most precious to them and that their thoughts are not who they are. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD. Our understanding of the nuances of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it.
We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD. When you start with NOCD Therapy, you’ll either work with me or be paired with one of my colleagues, depending on your preference and availability.
Plus, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone. The process of therapy can be uncomfortable and challenging, but the payoff is enormous.
