About
I believe that the connection between client and therapist is important. Each individual is unique. I take time to connect with you, and then draw from multiple research-backed approaches to address your needs and goals. I have extensive experience working with overwhelm and stress, as well as PTSD, with adults, and with children and families. Because of this, I work well with individuals, couples and families who are working with defenses, automatic reactions, and behavior that negatively impacts their current relationships. I feel honored to work with individuals and families in what I consider to be sacred work.
I offer therapy founded on deep, active empathy, which provides the safety to explore issues that are important to you, and new ways to work, skillfully and compassionately, with what challenges you. Feelings such as anxiety, depression, anger, sadness, and joy all become meaningful and helpful when we hold them with curiosity and compassion.
And despite my education and training, I want you to know that I won't ever be 'done' finding parts of myself that need more love, or areas of my life that stretch me when I least expect it. It's because I lead a truly human life, combined with experience and support, that I know the courage and hard choices it takes to make this step toward healing.

Carrie O'Leary's Groups
Compassionate Self Care
Group therapy is a powerful way to learn about ourselves and our relationships with others. Our online women's group explores how anxiety, depression and relationship issues are triggered. Within the safety of group, members have the opportunity to see themselves with compassion and curiosity, to receive feedback on how their behavior impacts others, try on new ways of being, enhance communication, and connect with others in a meaningful way. Members provide one another with support, share experiences, insight, joys and concerns. In groups, members are known, frustrations and goals matter, and successes are celebrated as they overcome personal obstacles.
