My work with individuals takes time and is all client-driven- there is no push to work on any one topic. I have found that comfortable conversation and creating a strong and safe relationship at the beginning of treatment leads to some of the best and most successful therapeutic work.
I have worked with trauma victims for 20 years ranging in age from 3 to 90. Many of my clients have histories of, sexual abuse, physical abuse, verbal/emotional abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic disorder, domestic violence, relationship issues, and career confusion. I use EMDR, TF-CBT, and many other interventions.
I believe in listening closely to individuals before we decide what type of approach to utilize in treatment. It is not one size fits all. It can be really scary to start therapy! I know how much courage it takes to begin the search for a therapist that you can feel comfortable with and trust.
