My name is Carrie Deering and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Limited Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Michigan, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have experience working with individuals from the age of 4 and up. I have worked in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, community settings, and school settings. I also have experience navigating and managing crises.
I obtained my Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University. I am certified to provide Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional for Children and Adolescents. I have training in parent-child relationships, DBT, Adlerian, and Play Therapy.
My passion includes working with a variety of mental health concerns, including the treatment of anxiety, depression, life changes, relationships, and trauma. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for you to be your authentic self, focus on your strengths, and create meaningful solutions together. I look forward to walking life’s path with you!
