The entire world has been changed, seemingly overnight. Please reach out if you need to talk to someone. If you have said this to yourself, you have probably been surfing the internet for a cure for addictions, or how to quit drinking so much, or how to make it through detox. Addictions are insufferable. I have been working in the field for 13 years with mental health and addiction issues.
I believe in the person I am working with. There are many wonderful techniques, standardized programs, and other evidence-based approaches to treating addiction, but my approach is individualized. I focus on the person, and what will work for you! I have seen wonderful results with using sand therapy, mindfulness and other non-traditional methods.
Why did I react like that?" Trauma affects a person's entire life. Experiencing trauma, then re-experiencing it through life's "triggers" is horrifying. When we don't have the words to express what we experiences, they can be expressed through symbols and movement. Art, sand, movement. All are effective ways of processing trauma.

Groups
Use anxiety to step into powerful new places
Each session will combine group and individual exercises with discussion and reflection. This quickly builds a support network of like minded and like challenged individuals. Participants will benefit from learning to find solutions internally as well as receiving diversity of perspectives from others using unique and unscripted methods. Though a group setting, assessments of each individual will be ongoing and will be used to shape future sessions. Self assessments will also be required and tangible assignments given to encourage continued improvement outside of the group setting.
