Therapy can be a powerful and meaningful experience. I work with adults on issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, identity questions and family-of-origin matters. I especially enjoy working BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx, with a focus on working with Asian Americans. I believe that change is achieved through the combination of developing insight into your emotions, thoughts and choices, and the practice of new skills and ways of relating to oneself and others. Our work can help you to feel better, heal emotional pain, increase self-understanding, improve relationships and cope more effectively.
As a therapist, my style is warm, supportive, interactive and nonjudgmental. I strive to create an atmosphere of curiosity and compassion to promote exploration and change. My approach to therapy is primarily psychoanalytic and relational, and my practice is LGBTQ-friendly and affirming.
We will work together to explore and address the issues that interfere with your well-being, relationships and goals. I am able to see people in-person in Portland and those located in California, Washington and Oregon (outside of Portland) online. I welcome the opportunity to work with you and look forward to speaking with you.
