I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. I have been in the teaching and counseling fields for over twenty five year, and am a certified RYT 200 yoga instructor. I use an integrative, holistic and active approach to health and wellness. I work to create a safe, supportive and trusting environment to help guide and facilitate personal healing and growth. Working in such areas as; life transition, interpersonal coping skills, PTSD, trauma, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress/anger management, behavioral issues, relationship issues, grief work, addictions, family issues, and beyond.
With a background in education, the arts, and psychology I use an integrative approach to therapy. These treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches include a combination of; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamics, Solution focused, Mindfulness, and relaxation techniques.
With respect to the uniqueness of each individual and their own personal experiences, I am better able to meet the needs of each individual client through an integrative approach. My focus is to assist each individual in promoting growth and positive change, striving to live honestly, peacefully, and authentically.
