I have been a family therapist over 20 years; and such, I work from a systemic or relational orientation, which focuses on mental health concerns within the contexts they occur. I work with individuals, couples and families experiencing a variety of mental health and relational concerns, such as depression, important life decisions, spiritual struggles, premarital counseling, marital conflict, communication problems, parenting challenges, family transitions, relationship enhancement, domestic violence, family violence and mid-life transitions.
I assess and work with couples in every stage of relationship development and maintenance (premarital, committed, long-term, break-up) using tools such as PREPARE/ENRICH. I am also trained in Restoration Therapy, neuro-lingustic programming, and parent coordination/facilitation for conflictual couples. I provide MFT supervision to interns and professionals.
I provide supervision from a collaborative and cultural context/social justice model. Individual, dyadic and group family therapy supervision is available for master's and doctoral-level practitioners. I am a LMFT Supervisor (TX) and have been an AAMFT Approved Supervisor almost 10 years.
