I am deeply committed to supporting individuals who are struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, body acceptance, and/or trauma. I know that full recovery is possible for many and that all are worthy of support whether they get "all better" or not. I am trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders, and Neuroscience Based Therapy.
Our brains speak several languages! Words, images, movement, sensation, memories, thoughts, vibes, and more. When we listen to all parts of ourselves, we discover that even the weird things we do make sense in light of our deeply held "emotional knowings." Once we understand, we can collaborate with ourselves and our parts to allow change to happen.
I enjoy working with people of all sexual orientations and gender expressions I work from a HAES perspective, meaning that one's weight and size should never be a measure of their health or worth. This means I will never focus on weight loss as a goal of therapy.
