As a licensed mental health counselor with over twenty years of experience in private practice, I know how to help people emerge from difficult experiences stronger and happier. I really take the time to get to know my clients and the unique concerns they bring to therapy, and we work as a team to come up with creative, practical solutions. My approach to psychotherapy is tailored to each individual, but usually incorporates cognitive-behavioral, relational, and mindfulness/relaxation techniques. .
Although I work with adults who present with a variety of concerns, I specialize in helping clients heal from difficult or traumatic experiences. I am a certified EMDR therapist, and I am also trained in the Internal Family Systems approach, which is a type of therapy that is especially helpful for those recovering from childhood abuse or neglect.
