As a Marriage & Family Therapist I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, helps reduce distress from trauma or other distressing life experiences. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which teaches distress tolerance, effective relationship skills, emotion regulation, mindfulness and coping skills for life's challenges. I utilize Gottman and EFT with couples in a conflict or repair process. Play therapy uses play techniques vs talk-therapy to help children work through emotional and mental health issues.
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I enjoy helping clients learn how to work through symptoms of depression, anxiety, marital & family issues, attachment issues, acute & chronic illness, addiction, and healing trauma experiences. I am Play Therapy and EMDR trained.
We are each created of mind, body and soul. We exercise and eat healthy to care for our body. We attend church, pray, meditate and connect with nature to tend to our soul.
