Hi! I'm Carolyn Carne, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. I believe it is essential to create an environment where you can be your authentic self, and I will meet you exactly where you are. I seek to validate you in your struggles and empower you to make the changes you seek in your life. Therapies such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) all allow you to create change in your life.
I work with a range of individuals and families from ages 8-85+. Typical clients, I see present with stress, interpersonal problems, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, and self-harm. Most clients I see present with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder (I or II), ADHD, or autism.
Goal setting is a collaborative process driven by you. I support you in selecting what you want to work on while also suggesting some supplemental goals. Coming up with goals can be scary when you might not know what to target... no worries, we will use assessments to find areas to improve.
