Sometimes Change Is Hard. As humans we are much like butterflies. As the caterpillar works in the dark lonely cocoon to transform, its struggle gives it the strength to emerge and take flight. And sometimes that change is so hard for us humans that we need help. We may need encouragement, guidance, tools, feedback or a safe place to process. My goal is to guide, empower & encourage my clients to become their best selves with the most effective life skills.
I feel that my first task as a psychotherapist is to establish trust with my clients. I help you discover better ways of dealing with your world. My approach to therapy is compassionate, reassuring & solution oriented. I specialize sexual assault recovery, infidelity recovery, pre-marital/marital counseling, anxiety/depression, and widow/widower grief.
I use many therapeutic approaches. As a former teacher, I am acutely aware that clients have a wide variety of learning styles. I try to fit the method to the client.
