I like to work with people of all ages. Often with adults I am interested in getting beyond everyday conversation into deeper layers of self, incorporating an inward focus of the body, mind and spirit. I am eclectic and offer a strength-based approach to help with depression, anxiety, transitions, relationship challenges, overall stuckness and other challenges. My approach is humanistic and compassionate, providing the support needed to get through hardships into a more empowered, creative and celebratory self.
I have a strong, somatic (body based) background. I completed the Hakomi (mindful experiential therapy) Comprehensive in 2007 and assisted the training after while I began my graduate studies. I received my clinical psychology degree with a somatic emphasis. Before this, I immersed myself in meditation, silent retreats, yoga and dance since 2000.
I have worked with adults in crisis at County Mental Health as well as extensive experience working with children (some conjoint with family therapy). I have led various groups for children such as social skills/empowerment and domestic violence. I have also led DUI groups for youth ages 15-17yrs.
