As a clinical social worker for over 20 years I utilize a variety of methods to treat the whole person. While working together you can expect a supportive and collaborative treatment relationship. One of my specialties is working with women of all ages who are experiencing anxiety and/or depression because of pressures of work, family and transitional issues. Women who have been the one everyone has gone to for all their needs and now need someone to go to.
I am a warm, caring, empathetic psychotherapist who provides tools for clients to improve their life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, hypnotherapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness are the techniques I use in my practice. CBT focuses on ones thoughts, feelings and behavior. Mindfulness is "paying attention to the here and now with acceptance and non-judgement."
In New York I provide supervision for social workers who are working on their LCSW or LCSW - R. I have a strong passion for the field and love supervising social workers. I am licensed in New York and Maine
