Childhood and adolescence are times of growth, imagination, beauty, and connection. Being a young person can also present its own unique challenges. Children and adolescents experiencing trauma, loss, mental health struggles, behavior issues at home or school or self esteem/body image issues need a safe, caring presence in their life to listen and walk with them toward healing and self-understanding. If your child or teen is struggling, or if you are a parent seeking a light at the end of the tunnel for your child's behaviors, I'm here to help. If you are young adult seeking a safe healing space and listening ear, I'm here for you.
I practice Child-Centered Play Therapy with children ages 3-11. CCPT is a unique approach involving an inviting playroom and an engaged therapist to work with children to build confidence, resilience and self-understanding as they process their grief, trauma, self-image, etc. I also use a CBT, person-centered approach with adolescents and young adults.
