Deciding to start therapy can be a challenging and vulnerable process. My goal as a therapist is to make each individual feel as safe and supported as possible with high levels of empathy, compassion, and genuineness. Throughout the therapy process, I value the importance of improving relationships, managing stress, and increasing the ability to identify and regulate emotions. In sessions, I emphasis the importance of processing core beliefs we hold towards ourself and the world, practicing daily mindfulness, and learning skills to effectively regulate our emotions. I also provide supervision for pre-licensed clinicians!
I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings for adults, adolescents, and children in both the individual and group setting. I use an integrated approach including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR to treat trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, BDP, depression, and anxiety.
