Sleep problems require specialized treatment. A board-certified sleep psychologist, I help improve insomnia naturally and efficiently for those who struggle to turn off their minds at night, are wide awake at odd hours, or who have sleep anxiety. Many feel unrefreshed and tired all day yet can't drift off at night, or they wake too early each morning. I treat nightmares and upsetting dreams, unusual sleep behaviors, travel concerns like jet lag and sleeping away from home, and difficulties like waking on time for school or work. A significant part of my practice is helping folks reduce reliance on sleep aids and medications.
I work well with those for whom sleep treatments, including CBT-I, didn't work in the past, implementing an individualized, flexible approach. I offer high-quality treatment for sleep across a broad range of experiences, including pregnancy and postpartum, parenthood, aging, illness, pain, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and trauma.
Sleep psychotherapy is not sleep hygiene. It is an active, evidence-based treatment built on the science of sleep.
