At the heart of my counseling practice is my desire to help you live your best life. To become clearer about what is meaningful to you, rather than what others might have told you about yourself along the way. I am committed to working deeply and gently with your life story and issues. We create your treatment plan together, carefully identifying your goals for therapy. I have extensive training to work with trauma, emotional regulation, behavioral issues with children and adolescents,healthier relationships, depression and anxiety, increased self awareness, healing from loss, and spirituality.
I am a trained children's mental health specialist and work extensively with children, adolescents and their families. I have extensive training in domestic violence. I work with couples, utilizing John Gottman's research and intervention. I utilize EMDR and mind-body modalities to treat trauma.
EMDR trained Level II; Advanced trained in Lifespan Integration; MAP-A (training in anxiety and panic disorder); Certified in TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and AF-CBT (alternatives for families--a cognitive behavioral therapy to promote family reunification). I am a Washington State certified domestic violence counselor.
