The therapeutic relationship is unlike any other relationship. It is characterized by attuned and non-judgmental listening aimed at identifying and understanding repetitive patterns that contribute to relational and behavioral difficulties. If you find yourself continuously engaging in unhelpful behaviors and can't figure out why, therapy can be a profoundly useful resource to identify the aspects of your personality that may be perpetuating these cycles.
Outside of my therapy training, I have been an eating disorder registered dietitian for six years and hold my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). For this reason, I specialize in eating disorders and issues that classically accompany this presentation, such as impulse control issues, low self-esteem, depression, and relational difficulties.
