I work with young adults, families, and couples helping them to shed light on themselves and the systems of which they are a part. I have worked predominately with clients experiencing symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar, addictive disorders, and personality disorders. I have a background in wilderness therapy and experiential treatment and love to introduce creative, alternative modes of expression to my clients, including yoga movement, narrative, and outdoor based therapies (walk and talk). By the end of our first session, most of my clients feel relieved and hopeful for their next steps.
My work is influenced by many trauma-informed practices including attachment theory, object relations, EMDR (trained), family systems, and internal family systems. I was trained in trauma-informed yoga and find that, when we address and connect to how our bodies react to the stressors of our lives, we can begin to build new and lasting foundations.
It is my intention to provide a space where my clients can strengthen their voice and tap into their intuition. I believe all bodies and expressions should have equal access to mental health care. By creating safe, inclusive and curious relationships, I believe that we can heal and thrive through traumatic and difficult experiences.
