¡Saludos! My name is Carolina Oviedo-Munoz (she/her/hers), and I am a bilingual, Spanish-speaking, Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master’s in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, and my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University. I was born in San Diego, and was raised both here and in Tijuana, Mexico. For self-care I enjoy lifting weights and taking spin classes! On slow paced days you can catch me drinking my cafecito reading a book or spending time with loved ones.
As a therapist I like to use a collaborative style, which means you and I work together to establish your goals, and I tailor my approach to what your needs are. My role and hope is to walk alongside you and guide you as we use your strengths and interests to work towards your desired outcomes.
I strive to create a welcoming space that feels supportive and gentle, which means I will meet you where you’re at. The sessions will consist of conversations that include self-reflecting questions, and learning new skills that will assist in coping with the challenges one is facing.
