Doug Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. He has worked with families, young adults, adolescents, and the LGBTQIA+ community in residential treatment settings since 2016. Originally from Atlanta, Doug moved to Asheville in 2010 and holds a Masters in Social Work from Western Carolina University. He specializes in complex trauma, personality disorders, substance use, anxiety, depression, and coping with acute stress from difficult life events.

I am an LCMHCA with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine. My clinical foundation is based in a person-centered approach utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. This means that through a non-judgmental, authentic relationship we will work together to develop new skills and work toward your unique goals. I am open to working with a range of ages and concerns with a particular interest in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, family of origin difficulties, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. I am currently training in and able to practice EMDR therapy.

Wendy C. Krull is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has 20 years of experience in the field of social work supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, domestic and sexual violence, and comorbid medical and mental health issues. Wendy completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Brian Collin, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist at Matone Counseling in Asheville, North Carolina who specializes in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis and treatment. Brian can help with a formal psychological assessment if you suspect you or your child may have ADHD. If you and your child are experiencing conflict because your child is argumentative and struggles to comply with your requests, Brian can help! He helps parents correct oppositional defiant behavior in children using an evidence based intervention called Parent Management Training (PMT).

My belief is that every individual has his or her own distinct path to psychological well being. My goal as a therapist is to assist my clients with finding their own path by helping them get in touch with their own inner wisdom. I believe that people are doing the best that they can, however at times their true self can be blocked or hidden from awareness. Therapy can help to uncover this truth.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate who strives to create a space of trust and safety in which clients can heal, progress, and develop self-compassion. I have experience helping clients with a broad range of presenting concerns, with an educational focus on trauma. I cater my therapeutic techniques to each individual client's needs, drawing most heavily from Person-Centered (approaching clients as equal collaborators, with empathy and non-judgement), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (focusing on thought patterns), and Gestalt Therapy (focusing on emotional and somatic experiences).

I view therapy as an ongoing conversation in which the client receives support and feedback that family and friends may not be able to give. I enjoy working with people who are willing to do the work to make peace with questions and challenges that don't always have easy answers. I support individuals who desire assistance with managing a variety of concerns such as anxiety, emotional eating, substance use or depression. Additionally I am EMDR trained. I also offer couples counseling from an attachment perspective for both “traditional” and LGBT+ relationships.

As a clinician, I am passionate about working with individuals aged 16+ from different walks of life. I believe we all are facing our own distinctive experiences in life. Criminal convictions, substance abuse, loss of a loved one, and financial strain are just some of the barriers life can throw at us. I see the worth in helping others on their journey-whatever that may- be towards living life to the fullest in accordance with your own values and aspirations.
