Do you feel misunderstood? I am a clinical psychologist with many years of experience as an individual, couples and family therapist treating anxiety, depression, and communication issues. The focus of treatment is determined by the mutual agreement of the client and the therapist. I firmly believe that the emotional safety provided by the psychologist is essential.
One of my many interests is the challenge of treating an adult or a couple in which ADHD is an issue . Either partner may feel frustrated, stressed, ignored, lonely, nagged or over responsible. Each may need a combination of support, understanding and help communicating. The ADHD partner needs to accept responsibility for learning concrete strategies.
My broad education and life experience provide me with the resources to be creative and empathic and to integrate multiple theoretical perspectives. I am experienced in working with individual adults, couples, and families and dealing with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues including parent adult-child alienation.
