About
I would characterize my style as being one of openness and warmth, empathic, and having a genuine interest in the client's needs and goal. I believe that therapy should be collaborative between client and therapist and that the ultimate goal is to foster responsibility and autonomy, both of which foster a more fully functioning person who has learned through insight, self-awareness and problem-solving how to handle current and future situations.
Practice methods are cognitive-behavioral, behavioral techniques and family systems. Strengths are my ability to make clients feel comfortable, and trusting that my confrontations and interpretations are well-thought out and in their best interest. My belief in their potential is what motivates them to do the change necessary for their growth.
The following: my comfort level with everyone and all problems, patience, tolerance, good insights, considerable professional and personal experiences in a comfortable environment. My belief in their capacity to change and my willingness to go beyond what is required, e.g. outside assignments, enables them to solve problems.
