As a clinical therapist, I help people who are struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression and loss. I teach my clients to practice what I call "the reverse golden rule": treat yourself as you would treat others! We are often so critical of ourselves, while with a friend we would be kind, supportive, compassionate. My 20+ years of experience have given me the tools to work using an eclectic approach that I tailor to each client. I offer a comfortable, safe environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, where you can feel heard, understood and validated.
I treat anxiety, depression, emotional eating and addiction in older teens and adults. Perhaps because my office is within walking distance of the University of Washington, I have worked a lot with young adults who are struggling with anxiety related to life transitions such as work and college.
I have treated many people with social anxiety, and am also a bereavement therapist. Over the years I've worked with many individuals facing illness, loss and change.
I would be happy to respond to email or return your call within 24 hours. I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation 1-206- 999-3883.
