About
Are you having difficulty in your relationships and wondering, "how do I make things better?" Are you experiencing a loss of self, feeling confused and/or depressed? Is it difficult to identify your feelings? Have your feelings become too painful to experience on your own? It is only natural to want to avoid feelings that are painful. It is our basic human instinct to avoid anything that is painful especially emotional pain. Unfortunately, avoiding pain results in maladaptive behavior and difficulties within relationships. Avoiding feelings can result in feeling numb and/or loss of self.
Feelings are not facts but they give us insight into ourselves, in that moment. The only way out of numbness or a sense of 'lost self' is through self-examination. Lets examine together what REALLY matters. Getting un-stuck and learning more about you, is what we can do together. My training includes: Psychodynamic, EFCT and Couples Developmental Model.
I specialize in relationships, co-dependency, adult children of alcoholics, infertility, women's issues, sexual trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. My approach is to increase self-awareness and identify underlying patterns/events that might be acting as obstacles in achieving your goals.
