About
I believe it is the "personhood" of the therapist that is most important for a genuine therapeutic relationship. I am compassionate, very intelligent and plain speaking. I have treated adults and couples for 28 years. I have lots of life experience too, which will hopefully help in understanding your issues. I am a wife and mother, have lived in 4 countries and trained therapists for 10 years. I help young and not-so-young people with their relationships with others and themselves, and with those transitions that are part of human existence.
Specialties: cross cultural issues, mid life (and later), women's issues, men seeking to understand women and themselves, sexuality, gay/lesbian, stress, depression, anxiety, assertiveness, co-dependence, work issues and identity/spiritual questing. I help couples as they get together, with marriage problems, and as part of a collaborative team, with a respectful divorce process.
