Not accepting new clients. I have been a therapist in Maine for over 30 years, initially at the Master's level; I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2012. I work with people from all walks of life - people of diverse ethnicities, orientations, & beliefs. I have worked at in- and out-patient programs, & in private practice; with people who are having difficulty adjusting to changing life circumstances, & with people with severe & persistent mental illness. This has confirmed my belief that, while our differences should be celebrated, human beings can always find connection, & those connections can be the basis for healing.
Contrary to popular belief, asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It takes courage to open up and be vulnerable, to ask for help, to try to change one's life. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them become the people they always wished they could be.
I have extensive experience working with trauma issues and substance abuse, as well as anxiety, depression, and marital, divorce, and grief issues. I hold degrees in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling, Psychology, and a Post-Doctoral Certificate in Neuropsychology, as well. I am not currently accepting new clients.
