If you think about it, your mental health is probably the most important thing you have. Without it, there is not a lot left. I like to work collaboratively in helping others grow and deepen themselves and their self esteem to make a stronger, self empowered individual of your own design. I have found that with support, insight, and building a strong identity, people feel more free and happy, not depending on others for happiness. I mostly do Individual therapy with adults and older teens.
I have been a licensed counselor since 1989. I have experience with a wide variety of issues including overcoming damaging effects of life experiences, anxiety, depression, anger management, PTSD, impulse control, bipolar disorder, parenting skills, stress management, grieving, relationship skills, self esteem, and spirituality.
I have found over the years that having a therapeutic connection with my clients is one of my most useful tools in being a counselor. One of my favorite and most fascinating things about being a counselor is that no two people are alike. I look forward to hearing from you!
