About
I have had over 25 years experience working with children, adults and their families on both the East and West Coasts. I was born and raised in New York City, and have had professional experience in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Seattle. My special expertise includes child development, populations with special needs (learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, developmental disabilities, and autism), and services for families who are engaged in high conflict divorce. I am here to help you, and if your family needs help, work with the issues life brings us.
My professional experience includes teaching, consultations in schools and agencies. Postgraduate training includes hypnosis; family systems therapy; advanced training in mediation, collaborative divorce, Gottman communication model and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I have training and teach about working with high conflict divorce.
My office in Los Angeles and in Seattle offer a warm family-friendly waiting room. If you wish, we can speak for 10 minutes to see if I may be a 'good fit' for you. Co-parenting with Your Ex (COPE)
This is a class for separated, divorced, divorcing or never married parents. Parents learn communication skills, the effect of conflict on children, and the need to restructure to a business relationship. For maximum benefit, parents should attend together. There is a 6 week class, and beginning September 2011, there will also be a 10 week class. The class is listed on the Los Angeles Superior Court Website approved co-parenting classes and can be used to satisfy Court Orders. Private referrals are also welcome. Classes meet on Saturday mornings or Thursday evenings. See web site for schedule
